Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Part-Time Property Maintenance Tech to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our residential properties. Your expertise will ensure that our residents enjoy well-maintained living spaces through hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance.
Duties
- Perform repairs and maintenance on building interior systems, including plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and facilities equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
- Utilize hand tools, schematics, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
- Carry out painting projects, including residential painting and maintenance painting to uphold property appearance standards.
- Assist with carpentry tasks, plumbing system maintenance and repair, welding, and the use of programmable logic controllers for specialized equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics, repair logs, and safety documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests and ensuring their concerns are addressed professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience with building interior maintenance, facilities maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and general repairs using hand tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, electrical equipment repair, and plumbing system maintenance.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Familiarity with maintenance operations involving HVAC systems and electrical equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with maintenance painting and carpentry projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to provide clear instructions and updates.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), using tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities are desirable for assisting other team members when needed.
