The Restaurant at Copper River Country Club has an immediate opening for a full-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The standard shift is Wednesday through Sunday, from 3:30pm - close (8:30pm-9pm). Holidays are required. Qualified applicants will have experience working in a kitchen that specializes in multiple menus from Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner as well as Banquet Events. Experience with a wood-fire pizza oven is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, seasons and cooks to order menu items for all meals throughout the day, including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meal periods
- Ability / Knowledge on use of grill, gas range, electric range, broiler, deep fryer, waffle iron, griddle, skillet, wood-fire pizza oven and other standard kitchen equipment.
- Prepares all menu items to order, (including eggs any style), meats, fish poultry, and vegetables, to be fried, broiled, sautéed or grilled.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic temperatures and food safety
- Must be able to manage multiple orders in a timely manner
- Prepares exhibition omelets, pastas, sandwiches and pizza
- May be assigned as an attendant at a carving station
- Must ensure all food is cooked according to proper standards
- Cleans kitchen equipment and practices all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures
- Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in culinary field
- Proficient knife skills
- Organized skills; Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Speed, accuracy and efficiency are required and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to adapt to production requirements
- Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
- Must have a current California Food Handler Card.
- Must be English proficient
