Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks, including box trucks and refrigerated equipment, while ensuring timely delivery of freight. This role requires proficiency in route driving and the ability to handle different types of cargo, including refrigerated loads. The driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and safety on the road.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks, including straight box trucks, for the transportation of goods.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo loaded/unloaded.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck interior and exterior.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license C, B or A class.
- Experience with refrigerated transportation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of route driving principles and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
