We are seeking an experienced Claims Casualty Supervisor to lead a team of Bodily Injury (BI) and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UMBI) Claims Adjusters. This role is responsible for supervising claim operations, maintaining file quality standards, managing claim severity, and developing adjusters through ongoing coaching and training. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive auto casualty claims experience, and a proactive approach to claims management.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and supervise a team of 5 Casualty Adjusters.
· Utilize internal network resources to determine coverage, assign new losses, and review open claim files to maintain audit-ready quality standards.
· Monitor claim reserves for accuracy and review claim payments, including approval of payments exceeding adjusters’ authority limits.
· Track and manage BI/UMBI metrics to ensure claim severity remains within acceptable levels.
· Promote proactive file management, emphasizing timely review of:
o New claim transfers
o Settlement demands
o Medical documentation packages
o Settlement offers and follow-up activities
· Encourage and support participation in BI/UMBI Cashout programs, including Meds Incurred and Future Meds release initiatives.
· Lead adjuster development through:
o Focused training sessions
o Unit meetings
o Daily one-on-one coaching
o Performance management and mentoring
· Participate in bi-weekly Claim Committee meetings and collaborate effectively with peers, leadership, and other departments.
· Maintain excellent file quality and operational performance in preparation for internal audits.
· Occasionally travel overnight to meet with remote staff, attend depositions, mediations, or trials.
Required Qualifications
· Bodily Injury (BI) claims experience required.
· Auto Casualty claims experience required.
· 1–3 years of Supervisor or Management experience required.
· Experience handling large-loss and/or litigation claims.
· Strong claims investigation, adjusting, and negotiation skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency with:
o Microsoft Word
o Microsoft Excel
o Microsoft Access
o Internet-based applications
o AS400 systems or similar platforms
· General office proficiency including typing, filing, copying, and document management.
Preferred Qualifications
· Non-Standard Auto Casualty claims experience.
· College degree preferred.
· Candidates with 5+ years of Bodily Injury claims handling experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Stable employment history with no excessive job hopping or unexplained employment gaps.

Pay: $83,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
