Reports To: Service Manager or General Manager
The Senior Service Technician performs advanced trailer repairs and diagnostics with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. This role is responsible for complex mechanical, electrical, and structural repairs, setting the quality bar in the shop, and supporting overall service execution.
This position is designed for experienced technicians who are trusted to handle difficult jobs, reduce comebacks, and support teammates through example, guidance, and strong work habits.

Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, brake, axle, wiring, and structural repairs according to company standards

Diagnose complex issues efficiently and determine appropriate repair solutions

Complete highdifficulty work orders with minimal supervision

Perform and support welding and fabrication work as needed

Install advanced accessories and custom equipment

Conduct thorough safety inspections and identify critical repair or replacement needs

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area

Accurately diagnose issues and clearly communicate findings to store leadership

Document work performed with detailed, accurate notes to support invoicing and customer communication

Identify root causes to reduce repeat failures and comebacks

Follow all warranty, safety, and internal repair procedures

Help keep shop workflow moving by taking on complex or timesensitive jobs

Provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians when appropriate

Communicate job status, delays, or additional labor needs proactively

Coordinate with parts and sales teams to ensure efficient, accurate repairs

Support shop organization, equipment care, and safety standards

Serve as a technical resource for the service team

Share knowledge, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques

Stay current on tools, equipment, and evolving repair methods

Five or more years of mechanical repair experience in trailers, automotive, equipment, or similar fields

Advanced understanding of trailer systems including wiring, brakes, axles, suspensions, hydraulics, and structural components

Strong diagnostic ability and problemsolving skills

Welding and fabrication experience preferred

Ability to work independently and handle complex repairs

Dependable work habits, professional communication, and strong attention to detail

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed

Valid driver’s license required
