Job Summary
Join our early intervention therapy team as a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant – Part time/PRN, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. In this role, you will provide physical therapy services to pediatric patients ages 0-3 in the home or least restrictive environment. Duties
- Implement therapeutic interventions set by PT.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and caregivers to coordinate care plans and ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems following clinical documentation standards and medical terminology guidelines.
- Conduct discharge planning and modify treatment strategies based on patient response, progress, or changing needs.
- Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety measures, and community resources to support ongoing therapy outside clinical settings.
Qualifications
- Valid state Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital settings, or home health environments.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and outpatient rehabilitation procedures.
- Communication skills with the ability to educate families effectively about treatment goals and progress.
