Overview
The Mortgage Closing & Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and preparing residential mortgage loans for closing while providing operational support to the Loan Estimate (LE) Disclosure Department and the Post-Closing Department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring loans are processed accurately, comply with federal and investor requirements, and move efficiently from clear-to-close through post-funding.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced mortgage environment.
Mortgage Closing
- Prepare and review Closing Disclosures (CDs) for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Verify fees, escrows, payoff information, and funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with TRID timing requirements and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Resolve closing issues quickly while maintaining excellent customer service.
General Operations
- Cross-train within multiple operational departments to provide backup support.
- Maintain knowledge of investor guidelines, agency requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in quality control initiatives and process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage closing experience preferred however we are willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.Skills & Competencies
