Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, supporting their developmental milestones, and preparing them for future academic success. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical development in preschool children.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards and developmental goals.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students.
- Utilize classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and support children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Assess student progress through observations, standardized testing, and other evaluation methods; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing requirements.
- Support children's social-emotional development through behavior management techniques and individualized attention.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, Montessori methods, or other specialized areas such as toddler care or preschool experience.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and child welfare practices.
- Ability to work effectively with children across various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Experience working in an early learning center is preferred.
- Proficiency in teaching physical education activities and integrating literacy education into daily routines.
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners through tutoring or individualized instruction when necessary.
