Overview:
We are looking for a full-time dog grooming receptionist to join our team, for a fast-paced luxury pet resort in Evans, in support of the grooming team, responsible to manage grooming appointments and effectively communicate with both clients and grooming staff.
Duties:
Receptionist duties include but are not limited to; greeting clients with a friendly, professional attitude; answer phones and respond to grooming inquiries, providing accurate service information; schedule and confirm grooming appointments; manage the daily appointment calendar; check clients in and out for grooming services, and review groom requests and pet preferences with groomers; verify vaccination records and ensure all required paperwork is completed before services; collect payments, handle charges, and maintain accurate receipts; relay grooming notes and special instructions to staff; document all relevant updates; maintain an organized grooming reception area and manage pet belongings for pickup; assist with light departmental support tasks (towel folding, restocking supplies) as needed; and handle client follow-ups and rebooking reminders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be a mature individual with a positive attitude and comfortable working with pets, be able to work independently & as a team, be very attentive to details, and able to multi-task & have strong time management skills. All individuals will be required to maintain a positive work environment with zero tolerance for drama, gossip and/or bullying. Prior grooming, kennel, or veterinary reception experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret vaccination records a plus.
Shift times:
Full-time: 8-hour shifts within the 8:00–4:30 schedule. Should arrive 10 minutes before 8:00 AM to turn on the computer, review the schedule, confirm which clients need updated vaccines, and set your day up for success. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, as these are high-volume grooming days.
Pay & Benefits:
The starting pay for the Receptionist position is $13/hr and increases to $14/hr after successful completion of the 90-day probation period.
Staff are eligible to receive tips, employee discounts, birthday pay & eligible for raises dependent on performance.
