Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all aspects of food handling and kitchen cleanliness
- Assist in menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including knives, ovens, fryers, and other appliances
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to quality and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting, such as restaurant or catering service, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Prior kitchen experience that showcases teamwork, adaptability, and a passion for culinary excellence
