Duties
- Provide personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences, including product demos when appropriate
- Assist customers with their purchases using the POS (Point of Sale) system, handling transactions accurately and efficiently
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and safety to promote responsible consumption
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product visibility
- Conduct stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the store well-stocked and organized
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment involving customer interaction
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or training new staff
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions or product demos
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail transactions
