Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters and assist with medical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the medical field.
Duties:
- Accurately transcribe medical information, including patient histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans
- Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records
- Assist healthcare providers with documentation during patient encounters
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately record medical information
- Navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of ophthalmology or experience in an ophthalmology setting is a plus
- Proficient typing skills to efficiently transcribe medical information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, such as an emergency room or busy medical office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
