What You'll Do
As a Deburr Technician, you'll perform precision finishing operations on machined components to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections while maintaining critical dimensions and customer specifications.
You'll ensure every finished part is clean, accurate, and ready for the next step in the manufacturing process.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrecision Finishing
- Sand, deburr, grind, polish, and finish machined components according to customer specifications
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and surface imperfections
- Polish metal and non-metal components to required surface finish standards
- Carefully protect critical dimensions while performing finishing operations
- Handle parts with care to prevent scratches, dents, or contamination
Quality & Inspection
- Visually and physically inspect parts for burrs, rough edges, scratches, and other imperfections
- Verify finished components meet customer and company quality standards
- Identify and report quality concerns or damaged parts
- Follow detailed work instructions and production requirements
- Maintain accurate workmanship while meeting production expectations
Safety & Teamwork
- Safely operate hand tools, grinders, sanders, files, abrasive tools, and other finishing equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Communicate with supervisors and quality personnel regarding production or quality concerns
- Support production flow through dependable attendance and teamwork
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience using hand tools required
- Previous manufacturing, deburring, polishing, or finishing experience preferred
- Equivalent education, training, or hands-on experience will be considered
Work Environment
This position is performed in an active manufacturing environment where you'll work with precision machined components using a variety of hand and power tools.
You'll be expected to follow all company safety procedures while working around manufacturing equipment, abrasives, tooling, and production materials.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying
- Ability to grip and use hand and power tools for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while maintaining precision
- Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and tooling
