Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
This position serves the functional unit of Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs (UEFA). Undergraduate Education works through various units to enhance the undergraduate educational experience and provide high-impact practices. It is comprised of the Honors Scholars College, the Center for the Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowship (CSURF), Community-based Learning and Scholarship, University Studies and assessment, and production of the undergraduate catalog. This unit oversees new undergraduate program development and the university’s QEP. The Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) engages faculty in all stages of their career, from hire to retirement. OFA supports aspects of faculty hiring, and coordinates professional development, career advancement, faculty recognition, and leadership development.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
This position serves as the primary support for the Associate Provost (AP) for Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs. The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires constant reprioritization of tasks. Daily duties will include management of a busy Outlook calendar, project management, drafting agendas, proactively preparing materials and locations for meetings, creating and maintaining documents in MS Teams, and managing written and oral communications with multiple constituencies. Other administrative duties include (but are not limited to) working with the office budget, preparing travel authorizations and reconciliations, completing purchasing requests, completing FLAC and EPAF assignments, planning events, leave keeping (time sheets for the unit) and working with university catering services and other duties as assigned. Position provides backup duties for the Office of the Provost and performs other duties as assigned within the Office of the Provost.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Graduation from high school and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation of a two-year secretarial science or business administration program and one year of experience as described above; or graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with major emphasis on Business administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
