Job Purpose
The Residence Inn/ SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Downtown Greenville is seeking a dedicated Food Runner / Busser / Host. The purpose of this position is to greet guests with warm hospitality and ensure smooth operation in the restaurant / bar area. Also, assist food servers as requested and clear and clean the tables in the restaurant to ensure a positive guest dining experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Display friendly attitude while greeting and seating guests.
- Keep reception area clean and neat.
- Be familiar with menu and daily specials, including basic knowledge of food and ingredients.
- Know locations of all food outlets and services.
- Assist guests in finding rooms, conference rooms, and banquets when necessary.
- Work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment.
- Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Work well as part of a team and independently.
- Remove dirty dishes from guest tables using proper cleaning method; reset tables.
- Ensure all tables are set correctly according to Auro Hotels and Brand Standard.
- Report all incidents, compliments, complaints to manager.
- Help in restaurant, outlet, and/or kitchen when extra duties are assigned.
