This position is for the closing shift at the bakery. Sunday - Wednesday 4pm-10pm
Thursday 4pm - 11pm
Friday 12pm-one hour before sunset

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist customers and answer questions about merchandise
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring products are properly merchandised and stocked
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Sometimes packing cookies/cakes or adding labels will be needed. Other tasks depending on situation
Skills
- Ability to count and exchange money correctly (basic retail math), ability to learn the pos system
- Ability to perform basic cleaning and organizing tasks. Maintaining coffee, danish stations, and the drink fridge for example
- Strong communication skills, bilingual in spanish, or Yiddish is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of bakery options operations (a plus, not required)
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
