Role Overview:
BEPC Inc. is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support our customer in the medical device manufacturing industry in Scarborough, Maine. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality cardiovascular medical devices by operating manufacturing equipment, performing precision assembly, and ensuring products meet strict quality and regulatory standards.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with previous machine operating experience who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have exceptional attention to detail. Depending on the assigned production area, work may be performed in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery while following established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Assemble cardiovascular medical devices and related components with precision.
- Perform detailed assembly using hand tools and specialized manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements to verify product quality.
- Operate computerized testing equipment to evaluate finished products.
- Repair or rework components using microscopes and precision tools when necessary.
- Package finished medical devices while maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
- Maintain production records, travelers, and quality documentation to ensure full product traceability.
- Clean tools, workstations, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste following company guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, or material shortages to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers and electronic production documentation systems.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to prioritize work and operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
Preferred Experience in at least one of these categories:
- Medical device manufacturing
- Cleanroom manufacturing

- Soldering
- Packaging and quality inspection
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to handle small, delicate components with precision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to safely perform manufacturing duties while following all workplace safety requirements.
