Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns (airless and conventional), and power tools
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface specifications to execute precise painting tasks
- Conduct surface repairs such as plastering, drywall finishing, masonry work, and stucco application to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
- Utilize safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites
- Perform site assessments for renovation or restoration projects, ensuring proper surface preparation for industrial or structural painting applications
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry, or framing as needed to support comprehensive project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment by managing tools, disposing of waste responsibly, and ensuring safety compliance throughout the job site
Skills
- Proven experience in residential and commercial construction painting with a strong understanding of coating techniques
- Proficiency in construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints
- Expertise in surface preparation including construction site experience with plastering, drywall finishing, masonry, or stucco work
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray), and scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects and visual color comparison skills
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection standards
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations during project planning and execution
- Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation or restoration work such as welding or concrete finishing is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and interpreting schematics or technical instructions
