Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant gate attendant Security Officers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role demands strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will monitor premises through surveillance systems, enforce rules and regulations, and provide assistance during incidents.
Reliability is key in this role, and the successful candidate must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as required. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are dependable, and are committed to ensuring the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide access control, allowing only authorized persons to enter the premises
- Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required during incidents or investigations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in daily reports.
- Assist keeping the community safe by identifying suspicious behavior and reporting accordingly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- First Aid certification is preferred; CPR certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of law enforcement principles and practices is advantageous.
- Experience in military, law enforcement, or security-related fields is desirable.
- Understanding of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
