We are seeking a dynamic Controls Engineer to join our passionate team! In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing control systems for cutting-edge manufacturing automation projects. Your expertise will drive the integration of robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring our custom machines operate seamlessly and efficiently. - Design, develop, and troubleshoot control systems for automated machinery using PLCs and distributed control systems
- Program and commission robotic systems, including Fanuc robots and vision inspection systems
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support system integration
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop tooling and machining processes aligned with lean manufacturing principles
- Perform root cause analysis on system issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor to create detailed control panel layouts and system schematics
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience with robot programming, especially Fanuc robots
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience reading schematics and blueprints
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS)
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems and their integration into automation solutions
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective troubleshooting strategies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical schematic design tools
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
