Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide care to patients. Your role will involve assisting in the implementation of treatment plans and helping patients regain movement and manage pain.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques
- Assist in the development and modification of treatment plans
- Educate patients on exercises and activities of daily living
- Document patient progress and treatment notes accurately
- Collaborate with the physical therapist to ensure effective patient care
- Work with a variety of patients in different settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, and occupational health facilities
Experience
- Experience in Home care and rehabilitation settings
- Knowledge of orthopedics, trigger point therapy, acute care, and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
