ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all guest areas are clean, presentable and free of trash and debris, cleaning spills within guest areas with urgency.
- Maintain clean trash cans throughout the restaurant that are never overflowing.
- Assist Bussers by washing tables and helping guests with tray and trash removal.
- Responsible for restrooms cleanliness to or above standards and following established cleaning schedules.
- Ensure all dishes are properly washed, sanitized and stocked with minimal breakage operating the industrial dishwasher as required.
- Maintain and clean and organized dish storage area.
- Adapt to changing guest volume with a sense of urgency.
- Perform work tasks calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers.
- Uphold the Company’s service standards and KOF Teamwork Responsibilities.
- Perform opening and closing duties, side work and ensure checklists are completed accurately.
- Effectively communicate with fellow crew members and the management team.
- Maintain a safe working environment for crew and guests.
- Comply with all city, state, federal and Company regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety policies and promptly report violations or concerns to the General Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.- No previous work experience required. On-the-job training available.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Comfortable working within a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with others.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand an extensive variety of work-related instructions and
documents pertaining to Company operations, safety, finance, HR, and payroll.
- Ability to use the Company’s timekeeping system and point of service system.
- Ability and willingness to learn and apply new work skill sets and concepts.
- Working knowledge of city, state, and federal hospitality laws and regulations.
