Duties
- Greet guests warmly with a friendly smile and professional demeanor, making them feel valued from arrival to departure
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and reservations when needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized host stand and waiting area that reflects our commitment to hospitality
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest feels appreciated
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus, highlighting your ability to handle diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of restaurant procedures including serving, reservation management, and guest relations enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment
