FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Cycle Counter to support inventory accuracy in a fast-paced automotive parts distribution environment. This temp-to-hire role is responsible for performing cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records, identifying and reporting discrepancies, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth material flow. The ideal candidate will have inventory control experience, cycle counting experience, cherry picker experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at elevated heights in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating a cherry picker and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels
- Updating and maintaining inventory records within warehouse management systems
- Identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Supporting inventory accuracy and warehouse flow
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Supporting general warehouse operations and material handling tasks
- Following all safety protocols, especially when working at elevated heights
- Maintaining equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
- Complying with all safety rules and warehouse procedures
- Communicating professionally with team members and supervisors
- Supporting daily distribution and warehouse operations as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 1 to 2 years of inventory control experience preferred
- Cycle counting experience required
- Warehouse operations experience preferred
- Cherry picker experience required
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment required
- Comfortable working at heights required
- Electric pallet jack, forklift, or related warehouse equipment experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and report inventory discrepancies
- Ability to work independently on 2nd shift
- Dependable and safety-conscious work habits
- Ability to lift, move, and load materials as part of daily responsibilities
- Ability to speak, read, and communicate in English preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, clean, professional warehouse environment
- Ability to work onsite in Redlands, CA
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:40 PM
- Ability to support a temp-to-hire opportunity
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and move materials as part of daily warehouse responsibilities
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch, push, pull, lift, carry, and move throughout warehouse and distribution areas as needed
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including cherry pickers and related equipment as needed
- Ability to work at elevated heights when operating cherry picker equipment
- Ability to use hands and fingers for equipment operation, scanning, inventory tasks, cycle counts, labeling, documentation, and standard warehouse duties
- Ability to review inventory records, item locations, labels, warehouse management system information, discrepancy reports, and warehouse documentation as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive warehouse and inventory tasks while maintaining accuracy and safety
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, as required
- Ability to avoid clothing, jewelry, or accessories that may create a safety hazard around warehouse equipment
