Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and plate menu items efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation across various cuisines
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety practices in restaurant or food industry settings, ServSafe a plus
- Experience in menu planning, food presentation, and catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
