<p><u><b>Summary</b></u></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Job Description:</b></u></p><p><b><u><span>Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)</span></u></b></p><p>Laboratory I Georgetown, KY</p><p></p><p><b>Shifts & Hours</b>:</p><ul><li><b>First shift</b> part-time (7a-7pm)</li><li><b>Third shift</b> full-time (7p-7a)</li><li><b>PRN </b>Days & Nights</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Description:</span></b></p><ul><li>Maintains technical competency as related to the job functions.</li><li>Understands pertinent LIS functions and performs downtime procedures effectively.</li><li>Evaluates each procedure performed and chooses appropriate investigative techniques as indicated.</li><li>Identifies and resolves problems that may adversely affect test results and notifies appropriate personnel.</li><li>Determines acceptability of specimens by performing visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal/unusual results.</li><li>Documents unacceptable specimens according to policy.
