Responsibilities:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, trucks, or depending on the specific job requirements
- Transport children following designated routes and schedules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the delivery process
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and responsible driving
Experience:
- Previous experience as a driver in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with childcare or delivery services is a plus
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is an asset
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and maintain efficient routes
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
