Baker
- Open the bakery early in the morning (5:00am ~Noon)
- Ensure food safety standards
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before/after use
- Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls
- Bake different bread types, like pastries, baguettes and multigrain breads
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings for breads and pies (e.g. cream and fruits)
- Track food supplies and place orders, as needed
- Train team members if needed
- Decorate pastries with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings if needed
- Fry donuts
- Prep sandwiches
- Prepare creams and different mixtures
- Organize raw materials
- Package finished products for display or sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs or inquiries.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, knives, and packaging tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes precisely.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the bakery’s operating hours.
