Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at our Gas Station. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and will be responsible for handling transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing of the register at the end of shifts.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by promoting products through effective upselling techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to obtain an Operating License from the town of Sharon
- Previous cashiering experience in a convenience store or retail environment is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
