Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including handling ingredients safely and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Prepare and serve sushi with precision, ensuring presentation and quality meet restaurant standards
- Mix cocktails and craft beverages, developing new beverage recipes to enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while providing attentive, friendly customer service
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing payments swiftly and securely
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, bar area, dining space, and kitchen to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support bar management by restocking supplies, managing inventory, and tracking beverage stock levels
- Engage with guests to promote menu items including fine dining options, craft beers, wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails
- Assist in catering or banquet events as needed to deliver seamless service during special occasions
- Uphold food handling standards and ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles preferred; experience with sushi preparation is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities during busy service hours
- Knowledge of beverage recipe development, mixology techniques, wine knowledge, and spirits experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Experience working in fine dining environments or catering settings is advantageous
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and inventory management are essential
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team in fast-paced restaurant or bar settings
