Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Krueger's Septic Services! With safety being our number 1 priority, excellent customer service is also a must. This position frequently deals one-on-one with our customers therefore; a friendly, positive demeanor is the best fit for this role.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate diverse routes while adhering to all traffic regulations.
To fill this role, we are looking for a driven and skilled individual that will be responsible for operating our vacuum/septic truck to safely and efficiently remove, transport, and dispose of liquid, sludge, and solid waste materials. This role requires attention to safety, compliance with regulations, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions. Applicants must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, working outdoors, as well as adapting easily to schedule changes. On-the-job training is provided!
Duties
· Septic tank pumping, filter cleaning, and occasional locating and digging to tank access in order to perform tank pumping.
· Operate and maintain vacuum truck and related equipment.
· Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
· Follow safety protocols and comply with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
· Accurately complete paperwork, including manifests, mileage logs, and waste station logs.
· Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
· Work in various weather conditions and job sites, including commercial, residential, and construction environments.
· Ability to utilize electronic device(s) for job notes, time tracking, etc.
· Maintain professional and positive attitude with customers and co-workers.
· Ability to work in a dirty environment and hold hoses up to 80lbs.
· Occasional weekend jobs as needed.
Qualifications
· Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), manual transmission endorsement and a clean driving record.
· Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving.
· Familiarity with operating a vacuum truck type is preferred but not required.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and communicate with customers and office staff.
· Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by DOT & company policy.
