Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective vehicle maintenance and repair. Pay based on experience, hourly or commission with a minimum guarantee options. 1 week paid vacation at 1 year and 2 weeks at 2 years. We do everything from basic maintenance to full engine and trans replacements, rear end and transfer case rebuilds, head gaskets, timing chains/belts, a lot of light duty diesel work. Work side by side with the owner and can train on things you are unfamiliar with. We are a small town small shop, with a great reputation, and work very hard to maintain that reputation. Uniforms are supplied t-shirts hoodies work pants. Commission pay with a guarantee so you can pretty much decide how much you want to make. we stay about 2-3 weeks out on scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues with automotive electrical systems, powertrain, and other components.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Execute automotive repairs with precision, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with service technicians to transmit information regarding vehicle status and required repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance skills and service quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle's needs.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures for various makes and models.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a VERY fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
