Position Summary:
The Medical Director will serve as the supervising physician responsible for the oversight of all medical aesthetic procedures, including the administration of injectables and dermal fillers. This role ensures compliance with Houston medical regulations, provides clinical leadership, and supports staff training and protocol development to maintain safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical oversight for all aesthetic procedures, ensuring compliance with New York State laws and professional practice standards.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate procedures to licensed Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants, as allowed by law.
- Perform initial patient assessments and treatment approvals where required by regulation.
- Develop, implement, and update clinical policies and protocols for injectable treatments and other aesthetic procedures.
- Review patient charts and treatment records regularly to ensure quality assurance and compliance.
- Provide on-site or telemedicine consultations as needed for clinical guidance and adverse event management.
- Participate in staff training, continuing education, and review of product use and safety.
- Maintain active communication with management to ensure smooth operational and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Must hold an active and unrestricted Houston medical license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, dermatology, plastic surgery, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with injectable products (Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, etc.) and non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
- Strong understanding of New York State scope-of-practice and delegation laws for aesthetic injectables.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and patient-safety skills.
