Job Description: H&S Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Pay:Range: $27-$35 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment progress and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in NC.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health care.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
