AdvanceTrac Equipment is a growing heavy equipment rental company based in San Marcos, serving contractors across Texas. We run a modern, well-maintained fleet of excavators, dozers, graders, soil stabilizers, articulated dump trucks, and more. Our reputation rides on machines that show up ready to work. We're looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician who takes pride in keeping iron in top condition and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic excavators, ADTs, graders, dozers, stabilizers, and related heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and powertrain systems
- Complete scheduled PM services and document work accurately
- Conduct inspections on incoming/outgoing rental equipment
- Perform field service calls on customer job sites as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard
- Keep accurate service records and communicate equipment status to the team
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience repairing heavy construction or agricultural equipment
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, emissions, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals
- Own set of hand/power tools (we provide specialty tools and diagnostic equipment)
- Experience with brands like Hitachi, Deere, Caterpillar, Volvo, and/or Komatsu is a plus
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Ability to work safely, efficiently and with high standards for quality
- Valid Texas driver's license

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
