Responsibilities
- Perform overall accounting functions of Pension Fund's Fund Office.
- Must have proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper.
- Payment of vendor invoices via checks and ACHs.
- Record deposits, both physical checks received and ACH's received.
- Monitoring of 3 bank accounts and performing bank reconciliations.
- Record payroll into QuickBooks as reported from outside vendors.
- Record monthly pension checks paid by Fund.
- Payment of monthly federal and state pensioner taxes.
- Perform transfers between bank accounts as necessary for the operation of the Fund.
- Preparation of monthly invoices to vendors.
- Assist in yearend audit.
- Preparation of yearend tax filings: 1099-NEHC, 1099-Misc at year end, Form 945.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
