This position requires a high degree of customer service and is ideal for someone with previous experience in a bar environment. It is a high-volume position, and the right candidate will be involved in heavy lifting, stocking of inventory, and the cleaning of various bar areas, have knowledge of various alcohol types, beer and wine serving methods, garnish preparation and can work independently in an environment where teamwork is crucial.
Hourly position for serving at $16 an hour and splitting cash tips. Bartending position is $9 an hour and would receive all tips.
Must be available on Friday & Saturday for 5 PM- Close (typically around 1:00 AM). With the potential to pick up a bartending shift on either Sunday (3:45-9:30) or Monday (3:45-11:30).
16 hours per week for just serving, 24 hours if doing a bartending shift. Must be available all Husker Football Weekends. More shifts may be available from time to time depending on events, time off request, etc...
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer issues in a friendly and tactful manner.
- Communicate effectively with bartenders and kitchen staff.
- Be able to listen and respond to multiple people at one time.
- Take drink and food orders and ring them up in our POS system, prepare the drinks according to the customers' needs and preferences if bartending, and taking the items out to customers.
- Making sure customer satisfaction throughout their evening.
- Clear and wipe tables down as needed.
- Polish glassware.
- Stock bar supplies as needed.
- Make craft cocktails following our recipes.
