About Us
Callaway Services is a licensed multi-trade contracting company operating across Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. We hold licenses in General Contracting, HVAC, Electrical, Roofing, and Plumbing, which means our technicians handle real, varied work instead of getting stuck in one lane. We serve property management companies, residential clients, and commercial accounts throughout the Denver metro.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled maintenance technician based in the Denver area who can walk onto a property and handle whatever it needs. You'll receive dispatched work orders across the metro, including Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Centennial, Littleton, and surrounding communities. You complete the job, document it, and get paid per work order. The more efficient and reliable you are, the more you earn.
What You'll Do
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders at residential and commercial properties across the Denver metro
- Diagnose and repair HVAC issues (furnaces, thermostats, capacitors, condensate lines, basic system troubleshooting — heating season is serious business here)
- Perform electrical repairs (outlets, switches, fixtures, breakers, GFCI replacement)
- Handle plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, toilets, water heaters, drain clearing, frozen pipe and freeze damage repair)
- Perform roofing repairs and inspections (shingle replacement, flashing, leak tracing, hail damage assessment — Front Range hail season keeps this trade moving)
- General handyperson work: drywall patching, painting, doors, locks, fencing, appliance swaps, punch lists, and make-readies
- Document completed work with photos and notes in our work order system
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, and office staff
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance or trade experience across multiple trades
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roofing repair (you don't need a license in every trade, but you need real competence)
- Based in the Denver metro with willingness to travel between service areas
- Own reliable truck or van and a full set of hand and power tools
- Smartphone and ability to use a mobile work order app
- Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check
- Self-directed, punctual, and professional in occupied units
- Comfortable working in winter conditions and on rooftops year-round as weather allows
Nice to Have
- EPA 608 certification
- Colorado electrical or plumbing license (state-licensed trades) or municipal HVAC certification
- Property maintenance or make-ready experience with Denver metro property management companies
- Hail and storm damage repair experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Why Per-Work-Order Pay Works
You control your earnings. Fast, quality work means more completed orders and more money, without hourly caps. Consistent performers get first pick of dispatched volume across the metro.
