As an Ostomy/Wound Care RN, you are a clinical specialist and trusted partner in helping patients heal with confidence and dignity. You bring advanced knowledge, compassionate care, and evidence-based practice together to support individuals living with stomas, complex wounds, and pressure injuries.
- Develop and lead individualized plans of care for patients with ostomies, wounds, and pressure ulcers
- Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative education to patients and families, empowering them with the skills and confidence to manage care independently
- Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on enterostomal and wound management
- Deliver hands-on patient education, counseling, and emotional support during critical moments of recovery
- Apply evidence-based practices and the latest clinical standards to promote optimal healing outcomes
- Practice autonomously while collaborating closely with care teams to ensure safe, high-quality care across the continuum
- Deep understanding of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate, patient-centered care
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage complex cases with confidence
