Sunshine Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This is a customer-facing service role for a technician who can confidently troubleshoot residential heating and cooling equipment, identify the problem, explain the solution, and complete quality repairs.

The Technician We're Looking For

Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for diagnosing and servicing a broad range of residential HVAC systems. Key responsibilities include:

Troubleshoot heating and cooling systems to determine the cause of equipment failures

Perform necessary repairs accurately and efficiently
-
Explain system issues and recommended repairs clearly to customers
-
Complete service calls while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
-
Document customer interactions, findings, and completed work
-
Keep your assigned vehicle stocked with necessary parts and supplies
-
Maintain your tools and equipment
-
Follow all company safety procedures
-
Communicate effectively with both customers and the Sunshine Air Conditioning team
What You'll Need
Required:
-
Previous hands-on experience servicing residential HVAC systems
-
Universal EPA or Type II certification
-
Strong working knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems
-
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Ability to safely use hand and power tools
-
Ability to work from ladders up to 12 feet
-
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and extreme temperatures

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Customer service mindset

Basic HVAC service tools
Preferred:
-
HVAC technical school completion
-
Knowledge of applicable local codes and ordinances
-
NATE certification or willingness to obtain it
