Lead Carpenter / Assistant Project Manager
Moore Construction – White City, OR
Pay: $30–$40 per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time
Moore Construction is a local construction company that has been serving the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. We are looking for an experienced construction professional to help support our General Manager and Owner by overseeing field operations, managing crews, coordinating projects, and assisting with hands-on carpentry work when needed.
This is not a desk-only position. We are looking for a working leader who can effectively manage projects and crews while also stepping into the field and leading by example. The ideal candidate will have experience in wood framing, crew leadership, project coordination, scheduling, and job site management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple framing projects simultaneously
- Coordinate daily job site activities, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Lead and support field crews to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
- Work closely with ownership and management to prioritize workload and project timelines
- Conduct job site visits, inspections, and progress reviews
- Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating labor across multiple projects
- Identify and resolve job site challenges before they impact schedules or budgets
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and job site requirements
- Perform carpentry and framing work as needed
- Lead by example and maintain a positive, productive work environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in wood framing
- Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices
- Ability to manage and motivate crews while maintaining accountability
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely navigate active construction sites
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physical work throughout the workday
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software is a plus
