Job Title: Stiffener Welder (Direct Hire)
Pay Rate: $22.42 per hour (train on 1st shift)
Shift: 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 12:00 AM)
Job Summary: Stiffener welder is responsible for assembling and manually welding components in accordance with production requirements, engineering specifications and quality standards.
Job Duties:
1. Set up and manually operate MIG welding equipment to weld radiator stiffener components.
2. Adjust welding parameters including voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire feed speed, and weld travel speed.
3. Operate oxygen/acetylene torch equipment as required for radiator welding operations.
4. Set up, run, and troubleshoot welding machines and related equipment.
5. Read and interpret simple blueprints, prints, and job traveler packets.
6. Measure components using metric tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy.
7. Apply required hardware according to job travelers and engineering prints.
8. Inspect welds and finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
9. Support cross-training efforts and assist in other production areas as assigned.
10. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
11. Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Combination of technical school training or on-the-job MIG welding experience
3. Clean criminal background
4. Can pass a drug screen
