Job Summary:
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment. Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines. Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns. Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for all planned/preventative maintenance (PM), repairs for our production facility, as well as the unexpected (surprises abound!)

Experienced in maintenance systems: electrical, automation controls, pneumatic/hydraulic, plumbing, compressed air, mechanics.

Participate in safety initiatives and help develop/maintain a safe working environment, keep employees and the community free of accidents and harm.

Work as a teammate with the production crews to keep machines and systems in proper working order to ensure optimum efficiencies and minimal waste.

Develop an extensive knowledge of Case Paper IL equipment and machinery to support MRO and cross-training.

Maintain parts and spares inventories to minimize downtime in balance with cost.

Maintain grounds and facilities, responding to work orders and other impromptu requests to ensure rapid closure and follow-up.

Make proactive recommendations on potential updates and repairs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Minimum 3yrs Maintenance Experience.

Experienced in maintenance systems: electrical, automation controls, pneumatic/hydraulic, plumbing, compressed air, mechanics.

Familiarity with diagnostic troubleshooting of web tension systems in a high speed manufacturing environment.

Basic PLC’s understanding.

Ability to work on projects that require standing/sitting for extended periods, using hands/fingers to handle/feel, reaching with hands/arms, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and/or lifting 40 pounds, often in hot humid environments.

Basic Building skills.

Able to read wiring diagram.

Mathematical skills in converting unit of measure, calculating proportions, and using single variable functions.

Basic Excel skills (formula calculations, sorting, filtering, data validation)

Able to read maps, charts, diagrams, blueprints, and CAD drawings.

Good verbal and written communication skills with contractors, teammates, and others.

Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Industrial maintenance: 3 years (Required)
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking.

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

Must be able to visually inspect machines.
-
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
