Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team! This energetic role involves safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport—this includes handling hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, and specialized cargo such as refrigerated items or tanker loads.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, maintaining compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to route instructions.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen issues during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments.
- Hands-on experience with truck loading and unloading procedures, cargo handling, and securing freight on flatbeds or tanker trucks.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), and dangerous goods transportation is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of vehicle operated—manual transmission experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures and safety standards mandated by FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols during over-the-road (OTR) routes while maintaining high levels of professionalism on the road.
- Strong understanding of GPS navigation tools and route planning strategies to ensure efficient deliveries.

Pay: $1,872.08 - $2,254.55 per week
