Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs, explain treatment procedures, and offer post-session care advice.
- Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress notes, and health history in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all sanitation standards and CPR guidelines while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Demonstrated ability in patient assessment and pain management techniques.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- CPR certification required; additional certifications in medical or spa settings are a plus.
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar environments is preferred.
