Job Overview
We are seeking licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and clinics. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), developing and implementing care plans, and working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics. Candidates must possess a solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver effective therapy services. Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
- Assist patients with ADLs, including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility exercises
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans tailored to patient needs across acute care, outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing settings
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Document patient progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to promote independence
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment adhering to infection control protocols
Experience
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state of practice
- Prior experience in home health, acute care, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient clinics preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with care plan development and implementation based on patient assessments
- Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care within fast-paced healthcare environments
