Assistant Project Manager (Residential Construction)
Location: Washington, DC and Maryland (Multiple Sites)
A premier Washington, DC-area home builder is seeking a highly organized and driven Assistant Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for scattered-site new home construction and major renovations. You will manage on-site administrative and technical details across all building phases—from excavation and framing to finishes and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management: Oversee daily operations across multiple active jobsites in DC and Maryland, ensuring strict adherence to schedules, safety standards, and design specifications.
- Trade Coordination: Manage subcontractors across all trades; verify scopes of work, confirm material deliveries, and ensure crews are fully equipped to execute on their scheduled days.
- Project Lifecycle: Assist with logistics for all phases of construction, including permitting, scheduling, rough-ins, drywall, paint, and final punch lists.
- Client Relations: Assist with client walkthroughs and deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and managing expectations professionally.
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Baseline understanding of residential building materials, framing, mechanical rough-ins, and modern construction methods.
- Trade Literacy: Well-informed knowledge of subcontractor workflows and sequencing.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills paired with elite organizational habits.
- Logistics: Must possess a professional demeanor and reliable personal transportation to travel between regional sites daily.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with a national or large regional production home builder.
- A college degree
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
