Job Title: 1st Processing Superintendent
Manager: Manager of 1st Processing -
Direct Reports: 1st shift Live hang Supervisor, 1 shift Evis supervisors -
Other key team/positions: HR team, Superintendents, Managers, Supervisors, QA manager, Fleet manager, USDA -
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve key operational performance areas
- Analyze and recommend process improvements
- Act as resource to plant manager in identifying inefficiencies and solving them
- Work with team members to develop good working relationships and high moral
- Coach supervisors in production and team member decision
- Correlate with 1st shift USDA on a daily basis
- Facilitate information across all shifts and department
- Correlate with Director of Fleet Operations as needed
- Personally monitor all KPI and cost/lbs data on a daily basis
- Implement all WOG yield measures as directed by the Plant Manager
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day; free use of hands and free range of arm movement; ability to bend repeatedly at the waist for 8-10 hours per day; ability to safely walk to and in the plant; ability to properly wear personal protective equipment, sanitary equipment, and any other equipment necessary for certain departments -

- Communication skills (listening, feedback, presentation)
- Computer skills: complex spreadsheets and powerful yet simple presentations
- Teambuilding and the ability to work through others to accomplish tasks
- Management and coaching skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements and guidelines necessary to operate a raw processing facility and an understanding of HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs
