We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator – Dozer Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment for rough and finish grading
- Perform commercial site preparation and grading operations
- Read and interpret construction plans and grading plans
- Set up and operate Trimble GPS systems
- Use Rover and Base Station equipment
- Calibrate Dozer GPS systems and Rover equipment
- Perform grading using both GPS technology and manual stake methods
- Work independently to cut grade and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment, specifically dozers
- Experience with rough grade and finish grade work
- Experience in commercial sitework and site preparation
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Experience with Trimble GPS systems
- Ability to:
- Set up GPS equipment
- Use Rover and Base Station
- Calibrate Dozer and Rover systems
- Grade manually using stakes when needed
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
Requirements
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Must be able to cut grade accurately without constant supervision
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with the crew
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must provide a detailed resume outlining relevant experience
Note: Operation of equipment will be part of the interview and evaluation process.
