Responsibilities
- Scoop and serve ice cream, gelato, and other frozen desserts accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers in a friendly, upbeat manner to enhance their experience
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions smoothly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and accountability
- Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and ensure product freshness
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting overall restaurant operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Excellent time management to handle high-volume periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
